AlphaProfit Sector Investors' Newsletter: December 2004 Issue
December 11, 2004
Houston, TX

The AlphaProfit Core™ and Focus™ model portfolios advanced by 4.6% and 3.0%, respectively in November. The Dow Jones Wilshire 5000 benchmark advanced 4.7%.
For the year-to-date period ending November 30, the AlphaProfit Core and Focus portfolio are up 9.9% and 19.5%, respectively compared to the 8.7% gain for the DJ Wilshire 5000 index.

The December 2004 issue of the AlphaProfit Sector Investors' Newsletter™ is now available. This issue looks at the following topics and more:

1. Biotechnology shares lagged the equity market rally despite Tysabri and Tarceva being approved. What lies ahead for this sector?
2. Investors in shares of semiconductor companies have been concerned with bloated inventories for some time. Are better times ahead for semiconductor companies?
3. The U. S. dollar is under pressure vis-a-vis the Euro and the Yen despite strong numbers being posted on the economic front. What lies ahead for U. S. interest rates?

The AlphaProfit Sector Portfolio Indicator™ is rated 'Wait'. Shares of Fidelity Select Computers (FDCPX), Fidelity Select Electronics (FSELX), Fidelity Select Networking & Infrastructure (FNINX), and Fidelity Select Technology (FSPTX) previously rated 'Favored Buy' have rallied to the tune of 10-17% since the end of September. With valuation metrics no longer as attractive as they were in prior months, we dropped the 'Favored Buy' ratings on these funds on December 1.

The AlphaProfit model portfolios will be repositioned at the close of business on December 31, 2004. The repositioning changes will be available in the login area of the web site by 7:00 p.m. CST on January 1.
