AlphaProfit Newsletter: Launching ETF & Mutual Fund Recommendations
April 12, 2007
Dear Valued Subscriber,
We appreciate your response to our recent survey. Several of you have stated that you invest in exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and non-Fidelity mutual funds.
To help you with your investments in ETFs and non-Fidelity mutual funds, we are adding a new feature 'AlphaProfit ETF and Mutual Fund Selections' to the
Newsletter.
'AlphaProfit ETF and Mutual Fund Selections' recommends ETFs and non-Fidelity mutual funds which can be used to play AlphaProfit's investment thesis. This
feature, appearing on page 5 of the April Report, provides information on the availability of mutual funds at leading discount brokerage
companies E*Trade, Fidelity, Schwab, and TD Ameritrade. Information on transaction fees and the minimum holding period required to avoid both the
fund’s short-term redemption fee and the broker’s transaction fee is also noted.
Liquidity-related information on ETFs is provided. Some ETFs have limited liquidity. We encourage subscribers to consider limit orders
when trading such ETFs.
Glossary pages in the April Report and the website have been updated to include definitions of terms added. The Disclosure and Subscriber Agreement documents are modified to reflect
the inclusion of ETFs in the coverage universe.
The Focus and Core Model Portfolio Composition documents that are published with the Indicator Update on the first trading day of each month will be combined into one. With the
addition of the new feature, this document will be named Model Portfolio Composition and Investment Selections. This document will be published,
starting with the May 1 Indicator Update.
Going forward, ETFs and non-Fidelity mutual funds will also be featured in the Repositioning Alert Preview and Confirmation documents when these documents are published
next.
Best regards,
Sam Subramanian
