AlphaProfit Investment PhilosophyWe seek to maximize long-term, after-tax returns by ferreting out securities with high expected security-specific return, optimizing portfolio turnover, and avoiding market timing. We evaluate investment performance objectively on absolute and risk adjusted basis and work to enhance our investment process continuously. Seek Excess Return. We value active management and ferret out opportunities in the securities markets where the expected return of the security is in excess of its "fair" return based on its historical responsiveness to market movements. In terms of the Capital Asset Pricing Model or CAPM, we seek securities with high expected alpha. Maximize After-tax Returns. Our goal is to maximize after-tax returns by combining the benefits of longer-term investing with shorter-term trading. Tax-efficiency is a relevant consideration in our investing approach. To account for the tax consequences associated with shorter-term trading, we impose a higher hurdle on shorter-term trading strategies before including them as a part of our investment strategy. Avoid market timing. We eschew market timing and seek to remain fully invested. Evaluate Performance Objectively. We objectively evaluate the performance of our investment selections on absolute as well as risk adjusted basis using relevant benchmarks based on asset class and investment style. Enhance Process Continuously. In an ongoing commitment to security research, AlphaProfit Investments™ constantly seeks to identify and implement value adding investment approaches in its quest for superior absolute and risk adjusted returns.
